"It's only a game" scene from Fever Pitch (1997)
Sarah Hughes: Paul, it's only a game!
Paul Ashworth: DON'T SAY THAT! Please! That is the worst, most stupid thing anyone could say! Cause it quite clearly isn't "only a game." I mean if it was do you honestly think I'd care this much? Eh? Eighteen years! Eight-teen years! Do you know what you wanted eighteen years ago? Or ten? Or five? Did you want to be Head of Year at North London Comprehensive, I doubt it. I'd doubt if you wanted anything for that long. And if you had, and if you'd spent three months thinking that finally, FINALLY you were gonna get it and just when you think it's there it's taken away from you... I mean I don't care what it is, a car, a job, an Oscar, the baby... then you'd understand how I was feeling tonight. But there isn't, and you don't, so...
Sarah Hughes: So, so what, so fuck off, go home, leave you alone? I'll tell you something Paul, there isn't anything that I've wanted for eighteen years, cause I was a kid eighteen years ago. And if I did still want the same things I'd think I'd gone wrong somewhere, because actually I don't want to marry David Cassidy, I don't want bigger tits, I don't want to do better on my mock-Os. I've stopped worrying about that kind of thing and maybe you should try.
Paul Ashworth: Well maybe there's a big bit of you that's gone missing somewhere, maybe everyone should want something they've always wanted.

I live in a small town and all kinds, and I do mean all kinds of people walk in and eat, because they are the locals now. lol. It's those girls that grew up and now their kids are growing up. And most are the nicest and friendliest people with most exciting stories are the ones people look at differently.

Like I said. To me it seems to be part of flood land, it's her love for herself. That's why I suggested that maybe she should have left it behind to find love of God (love thine neighbour, her husband in this case). But I'm not sure, I'll think about it more. It's an interesting observation. The problem remains that the husband is an abusive a*hole and they bring out the worst in each other. Maybe if they could both put their trust in God, they could then trust each other and it would work. Instead of testing each other all the time...

That was a very sad movie, hard to watch. And I really don't remember the ending. Were they both at fault? Should she have given up her piano, been more patient and concentrated on her new life? Mabe, he would have giftet her with a new one later on. But should he have listened to her and not left her alone on her first day in that alien country? How does love grow? I don't know. But I think you're listening and I'm trying to leave the piano alone. So I hope we'll find a better way.

Why people hate long hair. In Somali and African country, youth with long hair get beaten or harassed. As 16 my neighbor just ran into me like he saw a ghost and started cutting my hair. Imagine that village in US has a lot with a village in Africa😁.

I love how ionic the simpson are. they live in fictional places like spinningfield and shelbyvile and they are not allowed to ever use real places so the writers v.cleverly use literally really places for random things such as calling a drink a manhattern. lol imagine if bars started doing this in real life calling it a Havana instead of a Mojito or saying Algarve instead of a Sagres

2:18 the kid scared me the most because of the sheer confidence he had in what he was saying and the venom in his face saying it. He's probably 18, but behaves just like the old men around him. They were getting blood lust for sure.

From the James Bond Documentary, all the actors that played the 'henchman' to the 'bad guy' have said, that Richard Kiel who played 'Jaws' was the standard and everyone was trying to play the part up to the 'Jaws' standard... 👍 That is pretty cool!!

Of all the hypothetical future jobs Bart could have, I always thought bartender made the most sense & was the most realistic. Homer's constant alcohol presence would certainly give Bart experience in understanding alcohol & alcoholic beverages as well. He would basically be future Moe but with a slightly better outcome.

Man, the dialogue is sooo great. So believable. The desperation, the tension... The movie's name is kinda misleading. It's not really about the Alien, but about how the humans react to it & try to survive. How a small group of humans (and a robot posing as one) act when facing an existential threat.

This scene is just like the original "Columbo" episodes - the law officer acting naive wearing a crummy suit on purpose just to entrap the egotistical villain. And we know it's on purpose, because Chandler's suit on the subway at the end is much nicer.
